Gabriel M Mapondera

Managing Director

Gabriel was previously CE at Tonota Capital Partners (Private) Limited [“TCP”], an international debt capital brokerage firm focussed on trade, project and mezzanine financing. During his 9-year term at TCP, Gabriel arranged US$125 million offshore project & trade finance facilities for Zimbabwe based entities. Prior to joining TCP in 2010 Gabriel spent 3 years at Ecobank Zimbabwe (“formerly Premier Banking Corporation”) as Structured Finance Manager. Gabriel’s other previous engagements include working as Executive Director at Colossal Capital Corporation, Regional Auditor at Innscor Africa Limited, Deputy Director at the Comptroller & Auditor General’s Office and Audit Professional at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He is a board member of Tonota Capital Partners (Private) Limited and Platinum Microfinance (Private) Limited, a licenced microfinance institution in Zimbabwe.

Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe.

Sheila Hawa Sidambe

(Chairperson)
Shielah Sidambe is a banker with skills set covering corporate banking, investments, borrowings, imports, exports, administration and financial management acquired in 16 years. She was awarded a Silver Lending license in November 2001. She sat on numerous boards of both public and private sectors such as ZIMPOST, POTRAZ, NUST-TECHNOPARK, National Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Board (NIEEB), former regional Chairperson of Women in Business Matabeleland Region, Former Provincial Executive of Federation of National Associations of Women in Business in Eastern and Southern Africa (FEMCOM). Chairperson and Founder of Gentle Touch. She also sits on the board of ZISCOSTEEL and GLENRAND MIB ZIMBABWE.

She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Aldersgate College

Desmond Matete

Dep. Chairperson

Desmond is a registered legal practitioner Notary Public & Conveyancer and a Member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe. He is an expert in commercial law and corporate and project finance. He has extensive experience in executive management roles and high-level business development and strategy planning, corporate and business law engagements with strong bias towards financial services, investment and merchant banking. He previously worked as a Director of Infrastructure Projects at Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe and Chairman of IDBZ Pension Fund. He also worked for Trust Holdings Group and Trust Group subsidiaries and Associates in Botswana & Malawi. He sat on the boards of Legal Resources Foundation (Chairman), Zimbabwe Power Company P/L (deputy board chairman); Africom Continental (Pvt) Ltd; Trustee – Island Hospice Trust; Manrova Estates P/L (tobacco venture); Celpay Zambia P/L; Venture Capital Company of Zimbabwe; Trust Holdings Ltd (Div. Dir); Trust Corporate Securities P/L; Trust International Ltd (Bw); Print Originators P/L and Tristar Insurance Ltd. He is currently a board chairman at Zimre Holdings and board member of FINSEC (Financial Securities Exchange) P/L

He holds a Bachelor of Laws Honors (LLB) from the University of Zimbabwe and is currently working towards a Master of Commerce in Development Finance

 

Fidelis Ngorora

Fidelis is an economist with skills set covering formulation and implementation of the PSIP Budget, Initiating and managing Budget Reform Processes, negotiating and implementing Public Private Partnership Initiatives. He has over 25 years’ experience as an economist at Ministry of Finance and Economic Development and is currently a Chief Director, Economic Affairs. Has sat on the boards of ZINARA, Zimbabwe Stock Exchange and former Chair of the SADC Project Preparation Development Fund. He currently sits on the boards of Pig Industry Board and Agribank.

Fidelis holds a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe and a Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators in Zimbabwe certification.

Aaron Chingombe

Aaron is a corporate leader, with vast experience in the management and development of enterprise in Hospitality and Tourism services, Marketing and Quality Management Systems, Business Planning, Project formulation, Budgeting and Management, Resource Mobilisation, Relationship Management and Project Management. He also has experience in wildlife tourism, public presentations and training. He is currently the Tourism and Quality Assurance Manager at Parks and Wildlife Management Authority. Formally Marketing Manager with Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, Sikumi Tree Lodge, Khatshana Lodge, Sable Valley Lodge, Bulawayo Rainbow Hotel and Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe as the Tourism Executive of Matabeleland North Province and Head/Senior Analyst Tourism, Tour Guiding and Business Consultancy Services. Aaron is the current Chair of Marketing Committee for Hospitality Association of Zimbabwe, Board and Trustee of Mzingwane Old Boys Association.

Aaron holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Hospitality and Tourism, Master of Commerce degree in Marketing Strategy

Eng. Irene Kamutero

Irene is a professional Engineer with over 20 years of engineering experience gained from working in projects at, inter alia, the Air Force of Zimbabwe, Unilever Zimbabwe, Old Mutual Property and the Zimbabwe Power Company. She is currently Director – Infrastructure Projects Department at the Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe. She is a certified PRINCE2 Project Management Practitioner, a member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers and Engineering Council of Zimbabwe. She is the Country Representative in the Construction Work Group of the Federation of African Engineering Organizations.

She is a Research Scholar for a PhD in Development Studies – Infrastructure, at the Africa Research University and holds a Master of Science degree in Manufacturing Systems and Operations Management; a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and a Diploma in Project Management

Patience Zenda

Patience Zenda has been in the civil service for 18 years with experience in Finance, Administration and Human Resources. She formerly worked in the Ministry of Defence – Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) for 20 years from 1983 to 2003 where she rose within the ranks from Private to the rank of Captain on retirement. She is a former Chief Accountant in the Ministry of Agriculture where she served from 2004 to 2007. She was appointed a Director of Finance, Administration and Human Resources in the Ministry of Energy and Power Development in March 2007.Currently, she is serving as Director Finance and Administration in the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry where she has been appointed since 2018.

She is a holder of Master of Business Administration (Public Sector Management); Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators Diploma and a certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe.

Rose Mukogo

Rose Mukogo has three decades-long experience in strategic and transformative leadership garnered from Government, the Private Sector and which has spanned across Africa. She served Government in trade and commerce and rose to the post of Under-Secretary in Ministry of Environment and Tourism and subsequently becoming the Chief Executive Officer of the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. She also served as Executive Director of Harbour Technologies, a private company.

Rose further proved her capability and credibility as special adviser in Africa in founding and managing Green Tourism Services Pvt Ltd, a company with reach across Africa and which has consistently consulted for the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) and the Regional Tourism Organization for Southern Africa (RETOSA). In addition to all the above, Rose has also served on several boards including the Zimbabwe Newspaper Group of Companies, Zimbabwe Council for Tourism, Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, Forestry Commission of Zimbabwe, Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe and various non profitmaking organizations including Rotary International.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe and post graduate qualifications in Environmental Economics and Policy Analysis from Harvard University.

Chinengundu Comfort

Comfort has extensive experience in Tourism and Hospitality management, Adventure Tourism Business Development Consultancy, Business leadership. Over 10 years’ experience in tourism industry. Worked at Rainbow Tourism Group T/A Heritage Expeditions Africa, Abseil Victoria Falls, Abseil Zambia. T/A Zambezi Eco Adventures, Rainbow Towers Hotel and Conference Centre, Ancient City Lodge, Regal Tours and Safaris.

He holder of a Bachelor of Commerce Tourism and Hospitality Management Honours Degree (Midlands State University) and is currently working towards a Master of Business Leadership.

Taona Zhou

Finance and Administration Officer
Taona is a member of the Chartered Governance and Accountancy Institute in Zimbabwe (CGI). He was previously Assistant Accountant at Zimpost heading the Agency portfolio for 5 years. Prior to that he worked for 8 years as Accountant for St Giles Medical Centre, a social welfare Organization specializing in the rehabilitation of physically handicapped individuals. He started his accounting career at Star Africa where he worked in various accounting positions for 10 years holds a MSc. Applied Accounting and BCom in Accounting from Great Zimbabwe University

Stabile M Moyo

Legal Officer
Sithabile, holds a Bachelor of Laws Honours (LLB) degree from the University of Venda, SA. She started her career as an administrator and legal advisor at SCORPIONS LEGAL AID TRUST. In 2017, she served in government as a legal officer in the Ministry of Rural Development Promotion and Preservation of Culture and Ministry Environment, Climate Tourism and Hospitality Industry. She was later seconded to Mosi Oa Tunya Development Company (Private) Limited as a Legal Officer. In 2020, she joined the company permanently with a keen interest in corporate and business law.
